Laurel

Laurus nobilis is a small evergreen tree that has played an important role in Mediterranean culture. Laurel Leaves, also known as Bay Leaves, is the original product of Turkey. Laurel trees grow throughout Turkish coastal regions from the Georgia to the Syrian border. Laurel has been used for medical, cosmetic, culinary purposes and including other uses over the years. Their highly aromatic volatile oil content and bitter, spicy, pungent taste is popular in soups, stews, meat, fish, poultry and vegetable dishes.
